The Bonsai Society of Victoria Monday Meeting in May 2013 was a discussion and styling demonstration by Joe about Black Pines. There were many questions covering most aspects of growing and styling. Black Pines are strong trees that grow well although there are many views about how best to balance growth and achieve shorter needles and internodes. Joe is currently using heavy periods of fertilising and a two stage candle pruning process to achieve good outcomes.
