Novice Program: Session 3

Academy of Bonsai Art: Semester 1

The third and final session this semester was conducted on Saturday 6th April. The ten novitiates have had an amazing journey of discovery and learning about bonsai over the three sessions. Their learning and experience gained has prepared them wonderfully, as has their confidence and skill level.

If you have nor completed this program and seek to understand more about bonsai, this is the program to consider. This will be offered again later in the year, commencing in October. We are fortunate to have Kim planning and organising this program and Mark Ludlow to teach and lead students.

The feedback and evaluation conducted have been exceptionally positive by all students and they were all sorry the program has concluded. The morning session was theoretical and practical skill development and the afternoon working on a bonsai.

Their final session was in response to students’ request to create a forest group. Trident maples were obtained, Bonsai Sensation donated desert ash plants as well as bonsai soil, bonsai pots acquired and students set to work in the afternoon. Well done all
